WHAT IS IT? Runner’s knee, or Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome, is used to describe pain in a collective of issues, but the pain experienced is normally down to wear and tear of cartilage or irritation of the tendons or soft tissues of the knee.
WHAT CAUSES RUNNER’S KNEE? Anyone that does any activity where you bend your knees a lot, such as cycling and walking, can experience this pain. Anything that affects your knee alignment could cause this injury, such as weak quads or tight hamstrings. Flat feet or pronated feet can cause unusual movement in the knee joint. If it’s your cartilage that is worn or irritated, this reduces the shock absorption at the joint and could be causing the pain.
HOW CAN ENERTOR INSOLES HELP?
- 44% shock absorption – all Enertor insoles offer more shock absorption than any other insole out there – reducing soft tissue irritation at the knee
- Improved lower limb alignment – Enertor Performance insole’s contoured cushioning and control chassis help to reduce tibia and femur rotation and reduce stress on the knee joint.
- Heel lift – Enertor Performance insoles provide natural heel lift to redistribute pressure away from the tendons at the knee joint.
